Keto since June 2016, Keto Chow off and on the whole time.

I started keto in June 2016 half heartedly as a way to win a weight loss challenge I joined at work (that I didn’t even want to join but was talked into lol). A friend of mine had told me about keto and I thought she was nuts and said I’d never give up bread and pasta. One day I just took the plunge and bought 5 dozen eggs, 4 sticks of kerrygold, and a half gallon of heavy cream (the essentials :P).

I lost weight really slowly (compared to some of the success stories you read online) but within about a week my blood sugar readings were within normal ranges and I was amazed. I was diagnosed T2 diabetic with my second pregnancy and getting my blood sugar in check was always an issue. When I started keto my A1C was at an alarming high of 12.8 – for those that don’t know, that is an average BS of 320 and could be deadly, and all while taking THREE different meds. Within 6 months of going keto my A1C was down to 5.8 and I was off all meds, my most recent A1C was 4.7!

Not only has keto helped me lose and keep off over 100 lbs but it has given me my life back, literally. People ask me all the time when I will stop – the answer is, without a doubt, NEVER!

Keto since May 2016, Keto Chow since November 2017.

Keto Chow was the key to my losing another 50 pounds (in four months) after losing the first 80 pounds with lazy keto (in nine months). As someone who is not willing to weigh, measure, and track food intake, Keto Chow enabled me to reach my macronutrient goals within my calorie limit effortlessly because I knew exactly what I was getting in every delicious meal. Keto Chow continues to be an important part of my daily menu as I maintain a healthy weight for the first time in my life.

Keto eight months, Keto Chow for seven months.

Keto Chow has made staying in ketosis easy, fast, cheap, and enjoyable! The flavors are delicious and I know that the ingredients are very high-quality and heavily vetted. In my eight months in ketosis, seven months on 2-3 Keto Chow shakes per day, I’ve lost 100 lbs and my father has lost 70+ lbs. Keto Chow has turned our lives upside down and around!

I have been on a path since late 2012 that, if I have my way, I will be on for the rest of my life. I retired in early 2012 at the age of 57. I have no idea what I weighed other than I was extremely obese and heading towards even worse health and (probably) a death much earlier than my genetics would dictate. After retiring, I sat around an additional eight months gaining even more weight. Although I don’t know for certain, I think I topped out at around 365 lbs. on my 5’ 10” frame. Pretty much my day was eating and sleeping with small bits of activity thrown into the mix. In October 2012, I began to Alternate Day Fast (ADF). This meant I did not eat for approximately 40 hours, followed by eating 2 or 3 meals in an 8-hour window. I had tried many other diets that just did not work for me. At the time, this seemed very “off the wall” to me but I was getting desparate and I decided to try it. Other than cutting out desserts and sugary things and trying to cut down on my portion sizes, I didn’t really change my diet. By October of 2013, I had lost 155 lbs. Within 4 months of starting I had reversed my prediabetes, high blood pressure, and my sleep apnea. I also no longer snored, which was remarkable since most nights I sounded like a jet airplane at take-off and could be heard on the other end of the house. My doctor was happy and a bit amazed. I was able to start exercising and added walking and bicycling. I wanted to lose more but plateaued and could not seem to break it. Exercise was toning my body, but not getting me where I wanted to be. I was able to maintain my weight through 2016 but in 2017 I went back to bad eating habits and began to gain back. By the end of 2017 I had regained over half my weight and was getting desperate, seeing it all slip away. Even though I had unsuccessfully tried several times in 2017 to stem the weight gain tide, I was unable to generate the will and effort to do so. I decided on January 2nd, 2018 to try one more time. The bargain I made with myself was that this was the last time. If unsuccessful again, I was going to have to learn how to be a happy fat man for whatever time I had remaining. Of course, my preference was to get my weight back down. I started back to my original plan, eating every other day, and by April of 2018 was down about 40 pounds. Then I hit the dreaded plateau once again. The next few months were hard and my weight loss during that time was about 2 pounds. With my first weight plateau in 2013, I had tried increasing my eating to assure my body I wasn’t trying to starve it, hoping that it would respond by releasing more weight. That didn’t work. This time I added a day to one of my 40-hour fast days, turning that fast into 64 hours while continuing to alternate eating and fasting the rest of the week. That did the trick and I began to lose again.

In September of 2018 I was introduced to the concepts of the Ketogenic diet and began adapting that along with my fasting. By February of this year I was between 170 and 175 pounds which was my secret dream back in 2012 when I started. I have been able to maintain that weight since then. I still fast and eat keto. I find both very satisfying and the health benefits continue. Also, I am rarely hungry. As I maintain my weight, I have experimented with my diet, adding some foods I considered less desirable while losing weight but now can tolerate in moderation as long as I do not lose sight of my long-term weight goal. In the past, I always considered dieting short-term goal. Once weight loss was achieved, I went on to the next thing. I now realize that (at least for me) that was a trap (yo-yo weight) and I must treat this as a way of life. When I consider where I was then and where I am now, I can never imagine going back. Luckily this is not a problem since I really do not miss the sugars, carbohydrates, processed foods, junk food and all of the other unhealthy things I ate and did. Once I got over the physical and mental addictions they caused, the cravings went away. I now eat (and amazingly) enjoy whole foods that before I would not have touched. My Mother would be amazed. Many of the people I have gotten information about how to do what I have done have encouraged folks to share their stories. Much of what I have done runs contrary to the official dietary and health direction given by the mainstream. All I can say is that I was unsuccessful following the official dogma but feel extremely successful and hopeful for the future doing what I am doing now. If this raises any questions for you, please feel free to let me know. The two pictures show me near to my heaviest, just before retirement and today (10/25/2019).

Keto since April 2019, Keto Chow since April 2019.

I needed a kickstart. I looked at a photo of myself and It was my moment of clarity. I was 6 months postpartum, working crazy 3rd shift hours, 254lbs and wasnt making any effort to eat better. I stumbled upon Keto Chow while googling Keto and I saw that amazing commercial with the witch and It was so funny I decided to give it a try! Keto Chow helped me lose 40lbs in 5 months! I went in keto to jump start my weightloss and Keto Chow allowed me to do that! I’m now maintaining my weight at 214lbs and I’m currently on a break from keto since I wanted to see if I could maintain my weight without a special diet, and I have!. I plan to start again after the holidays and I’ll be using Keto Chow to do it!

Keto since January 2018, Keto Chow for about 10 months.

I’ve struggled with my weight all my life. Keto Chow has done an effective job at helping me keep track of my caloric intake and macros. Ever since I switched to drinking three shakes per day (I initially started off just drinking two along with a solid food meal), and combining that with intermittent fasting and exercise, the weight has come off quite a bit. I’ve lost about 35 lbs since January, but have gained muscle during that time as well.

I started keto in May after being diagnosed with PCOS and all sorts of
hormone issues. The picture on the left is me at 234 right before starting
keto the picture on the right is me at 186. I’m down 47 pounds in five
months. I’ve lost 25.5 inches overall and I’m half way to my goal weight.
Keto Chow helped with my sweet cravings and meals on the go. I have
suggested it to everyone who has asked me about keto!

My husband who suggested keto to me has officially hit 50 pounds down. He
started around 240 and is hovering around 190. He was curious about keto
and found out about keto chow through reddit. I truly believe Keto Chow is
what jump started our research into keto. My diagnosis is what kicked us
into gear and started out keto journey together.

When I stumbled upon Keto Chow, I was very “tired” of the keto food I was eating. As I was looking at the flavors, I said to myself “maybe I can stick to this diet”. I just needed something clean and clear, use this amount and you’ll have a complete meal. The customer service at keto chow is so amazing they send a card that I still keep in my wallet that told me just that. I looked forward to drinking my shakes in the morning, because not only did they keep me full all day but it was also the satisfaction of having dessert for breakfast! When I started Keto Chow I had already lost 50 lbs and the weight continued to drop, and it tasted better!! I set a goal of 100 lbs in 6 months and it felt like a vacation because Keto Chow made it so easy. Although I surpassed my goal I will continue to enjoy Keto Chow because it’s quick, easy and tasty! Thank you Keto Chow!

I lost 28 pounds in the first 3 months on Keto. I’m down 34 pounds total as of today. Went from a 40 waist to a 36 and had to buy all new pants so I wouldn’t look like a hobo. LOL. I discovered Keto Chow a month ago and it has really made keto even easier. I love the shakes with butter.

Same outfit, 75 lbs down since late July 2019. I use Keto Chow all the time working retail. Usually I do it for lunch and then a chewable meal. Or I do OMAD and eat a good size supper (usually primarily carnivore). I just started working out mid-January!

Kristen D.

I lost 30 pounds from February-September 2019. I started Keto Chow in October and I have lost an additional 20 pounds. (February 2020)

Stacie D.

I do 1-2 shakes a day. That’s easiest for me; I work the Emergency room of our hospital and then have a keto friendly dinner.

Tyler and Melissa J.

We are Tyler and Melissa Jones, we started Keto in April 2016. We both wanted to lose weight after 4 pregnancies, obviously Melissa was the one pregnant but when she ate so did Tyler, so it goes without saying we both gained weight. Melissa started at 185 and Tyler started at 280, neither one of us felt comfortable and happy with how we looked. Just like everyone else we had a lot of questions when we started and didn’t have the proper support we needed, and the little support we did have wanted to charge us a lot of money to just answer some simple questions… come to find out a lot of the info we did get was wrong. So we decided we were going to be the support that others needed. We started doing our own research and started some social media pages along with a YouTube channel.

Well here we are almost 4 years later and on our 2nd year of Utah Keto Fair.

We have lost a total of 150 lbs together. We are so much happier and healthier with more energy and brain function.

106 lbs gone. 60ish more to go!!! I’m 6’1″ for reference. 42 yrs old this year, and have PCOS. (Instagram user

130 lbs gone! I do “lazy keto” or “dirty keto,” and the biggest success is just figuring out what works and doesn’t work for my own body. I’m a Type II diabetic…no medication, no insulin, and I’ve been able to get my A1c down to a normal level. I’m happier about that than the weight loss.

No full body pics but carb face is gone!

Down 47 pounds since April 2019 – just started adding workouts three weeks ago – still have a ways to go, but not in a hurry.

Down 95 lbs over a 2 year period. Started with keto, added IF about 2 months in. Goal 1 was to lose 50lbs, and then I started to work out 1-4x a week. I have a busy schedule so I don’t beat myself up if I only get there 1x. Now I’m trying to lose about 15 more and it’s very slow going, but I’m in no rush and know I’ll get there

Jennifer C.

100 pounds gone! In right around 9 months. I did strict keto and intermittent fasting. Keto Chow a few meals a week.

Francine S.

Lost 50 lbs and have been maintaining for a year and a half. I was really sick and tired of the Dr. giving me more and more meds. Saw a posting about eating low carb to try to control blood sugar spikes and the rest is history!!! My AC-1 went from 7.1 to 5.3, my thyroid med went from 150 mcg to 112 mcg, cut my BIP med in half and was taking 2 Glipzide and 3 Metformin and now just 1 Metformin. I was wearing a 3x and now I wear a 14/16. I had so much pain in my hip I was afraid I would need surgery, now no pain at all. Same with acid reflux, at least a couple times a week, now nothing! I am 60 y/o and a caretaker to my partially paralyzed husband and knew I had to take care of myself, to be able to take care of him.

In 2018 I was struggling at work. My memory wasn’t doing well and I could not focus. I just felt like I was in a fog all of the time. I was overweight at 252 lbs. I thought it was all of the caffeine I was drinking that was causing the brain fog so I went off of caffeine and it didn’t get any better. By the end of July 2018 I decided to go to the doctor. I had high blood pressure every time I had visited the doctor for a few years but didn’t think anything of it. The first week of August 2018 the doctor called and asked me to come into his office and visit about my blood results. When I met with him in his office he began to tell me that my A1C was high. It was 9.3. He also mentioned that my triglycerides were high to. And he explained about the correlation between abdominal fat, triglycerides, and heart disease. He also talked about Metformin, and how it isn’t that bad as he had been on it for a number of years. Here I was being told this at 38 years old. I asked him if I could take a few months and try and get things under control first. I picked up a blood glucose meter and began testing throughout the day keeping a journal of the readings as well as what I was eating. My fasting blood glucose at that time was around 175 in the morning. If I ate a burger and fries it would raise to about 270. I started to read about low carb diets. I had tried a number of protein drinks and meal replacements but found they would all spike my blood glucose. I then tried Keto Chow and found that it didn’t raise my blood sugar like the others I had tried. This was fantastic for me to find out as it simplified my life as I travel so much for work. I began living a low carb lifestyle. In November 2018 I returned to the doctor. To my surprise when the nurse checked my blood pressure it was normal. In fact I remember her commenting on how it was perfect. The weight had been falling off during these 3 months. When I got the results back from the doctor my a1c had dropped down to 5.7, and my triglycerides had dropped to 143. The doctor had said whatever I was doing to keep doing it. By February 2019 I was down to 170lbs. I had lost over 80lbs in 6 months with just diet alone. At that point I had not started exercising. For the last year I have been maintaining the same weight and continuing to keep the low carb lifestyle while adding exercise. My last blood work was fantastic! My blood pressure has been great, my a1c was down to 5.0 (without medication), and my triglycerides were down to 42. One thing to note, I have not tracked my macros during this journey. My guide has been my blood glucose meter. That being said, my meals are very low carb as I try and keep my post meal reading no more than 20 milligrams per deciliter above my pre-meal reading. Therefore if my pre-meal reading is at 90 milligrams per deciliter than my post meal reading should not be more than 110 milligrams per deciliter.

I grew up eating extremely low fat so keto was a complete mental shift for me, but I was desperate – I had dieted most of my life, but could only lose weight when I stayed perfectly on plan. Nothing was sustainable because I’m only human! Progress shouldn’t require perfection. I started keto and lost over 50lbs in 7 months, and have been maintaining since. I have gone from a size 18-20 to a size 8. As a busy mom, I have a hard time prioritizing myself, and Keto Chow has given me an easy, convenient, and delicious meal option that lets me satisfy my raging sweet tooth while continuing to eat in a way that makes me feel my best. It has been a crucial part of making keto a sustainable lifestyle change for me.

Katy G.

My (soon to be) husband and I started keto for different reasons but it has definitely been the best choice for both of us! We have very busy and opposite schedules but Keto Chow has definitely made life a lot easier and tastier for us. Together we’ve lost about 130 lbs and we both feel SO much better! Thank you!
